I still remember that day like it was yesterday. I don\u2019t know what got me so triggered but all it took to push me over the edge was a random Instagram post of a model in a bikini. In that moment, all I could think was \u201cI need to watch porn right now.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n So I left everyone in the sitting room and went into my room. I had just turned off the lights and opened incognito mode when I heard the Holy Spirit. It wasn\u2019t a loud or thunderous voice but in a clear, unmistakable way His words pierced into my spirit. <\/p>\n\n\n\n \u201cNo one will ever catch you. <\/em>If you don\u2019t let Me help you through this, you will be stuck in this addiction forever.\u201d<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n I froze. I knew it was the Lord speaking because He spoke right to the heart of what had kept me in this loop of addiction for so long. You see, I had this notion that if someone ever caught me watching porn, I would be so ashamed that I\u2019d have no choice but to quit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But hearing the Holy Spirit say \u201cNo one will catch you\u201d<\/em> meant this little secret would stay between me and God. And if I didn\u2019t look to Him for help, I would be addicted forever. I was terrified. I didn\u2019t want to be this person for the rest of my life<\/p>\n\n\n\n Believe it or not, I decided to work out my initial plan to get someone to catch me in the act. On many occasions, I would keep the porn site on my screen or leave my door open while watching\u2026 hoping someone would walk in and catch me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n But it never happened. That\u2019s when it started to dawn on me that my freedom would only come by following God\u2019s leading.<\/strong> Not by being exposed. Not by fear. But by trusting Him, fully.<\/p>\n\n\n\n Today, I\u2019ve been free for more years than I was addicted. And God was right, no one ever caught me.
